Sophie Newman is an innovative Jewellery design professional with an excellent understanding of marketable products, concepts and styles.

She is a keen follower of fashion/jewellery blogs, current trends and the media and utilises her interest, for the creation of mood boards, developing on to new product concepts and designs.

She combines precious metals and gemstones with her distinctive design to create individuality in her wearable pieces. Alongside her creative design skills Sophie shows particular awareness in the commercial jewellery industry having recently been awarded 2nd prize in Weston Beamor’s annual student design competition.

When designing, Sophie combines both the use of new technology; Computer Aided Design (CAD) with traditional manufacturing techniques to determine the best possible outcome.

Sophie’s passion for jewellery is clear, confirmed in her attention to detail and enthusiasm within the industry.
